Dear Colleagues,

You are cordially invited to participate in the research sharing seminar from the Centre for Childhood Research and Innovation.
 
The seminar will be conducted by Dr. Cheng Yuk Lin and Dr. Wu Shu-chen.
 
Dr. Cheng Yuk Lin is a Senior Teaching Fellow in ECE Department. She has a BA in Fine Arts from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, a MA in Art Education from Ludwig Maximilians Universität München (Germany) and a PhD from University of Southern Queensland (Australia). Her research interests include the history of Chinese art education, children’s artistic expression and strategies of art teaching.
 
Dr. Wu Shu-chen is an Assistant Professor in ECE Department. She had studied social pedagogy at the University of Tübingen in Germany, with focus on in early childhood education. After that she came to Hong Kong and worked at the HKIEd and its HSBC Early Childhood Learning Centre. Later she conducted her Ph.D. study at the Faculty of Education, the University of Hong Kong. Her thesis is concerned with a comparative study on play and learning in Hong Kong and German kindergartens. She has rejoined the Department of Early Childhood Education at HKIEd since August 2010.
