               Understand your context


                  >>   Examine your work environment
                  >   Review your job description
                  >   Review your work unit’s operational plans
                  >   Ask  about  the  changing  conditions  that  face  your  school  unit  /
                           school?
                  >   Ask what the impact of these changing conditions will be on your
                           work?
                  >   Will these create needs in terms of different capabilities or practices?
                  >>   Assess where you can contribute and/or make a difference
                  >>   What actions might you take that will make a difference?
