Dr Philip Hallinger is the Thailand Sustainable Development Foundation chair
professor of leadership at the College of Management, Mahidol University
(Thailand) and distinguished visiting professor in the Dept. of Educational
Leadership and Management at the University of Johannesburg (South Africa). His
research focuses on school leadership effects, leadership development and
problem-based learning. He received his Ed.D. in Administration and Policy
Analysis from Stanford University. His research publications can be accessed at
