Happiness at Once, a territory-wide project, created an atmosphere of sharing happiness and promoting positivity to the public. The movement had 3 significant components: (1) “Share my Happy Moment with you” Photo Competition; (2) outreach handcraft workshops in primary schools; and, (3) “Happiness at Once” Carnival. More than 120 students took part in the project, and over 2000 individuals were benefitted.

The Photo Competition was divided into primary and secondary groups. Over 350 entries were competing for the ‘Most Inspiring Award’ and the ‘Most Popular Award’. The selected entries were exhibited in the Carnival on 4 May.

More than 30 Student Tutors received training on handcraft workshops, including Nagomi Pastel Art, epoxy-resin handcraft, and light painting. They shared their knowledge by conducting outreach handcraft workshops in primary schools. 20 workshops were held from February to April, and 400 students were benefited. The Happiness Booklet is produced based on primary students’ views on what happiness meant to them.

The Carnival was held at the Hong Kong Cultural Piazza in celebrating EdUHK’s 25^th anniversary on 4 May 2019. A variety of games and workshops, ranging from handcraft workshops, newly emerged sports (i.e. pickleball and non-combat fighting) to one-minute challenges were offered. Energetic and influential performances from EdUHK students and supporting organisations impressed everyone participated in the Carnival. Over 1200 Hong Kong citizens shared a good time with us.
