The 2nd Global Lens will take place in three phases,
Phase 1: Global Horizons 101 – 5 thematic seminars to help you understand what sustainability refers to on a global level
-
- Global Citizenship Education
- Sustainable Tourism
- Ending Violence against Children
- Equalities in Africa
- Climate Refugees
Phase 2: SDGs and Me – to develop your own perspectives on global affairs
This phase aims at answering the question of “what’s in it for me?”.
By inviting students to reflect and present on the global issues that they have learnt or been inspired in Phase 1, students will develop their own global perspectives.
Phase 3: Go Global – to understand, develop and apply your intercultural skills in an overseas context
This phase includes three offshore tours, namely LEAD, SEGA and STO. Each tour will be designed with reference to the SDG, focusing on specific current world issues in the tour destinations. It is when students have the opportunity to develop and apply their intercultural skills in an overseas context.
