All EdUHK students are cordially invited to share your ideas and findings related to global diversity and complexity based on the four conference strands. Your submission will be reviewed by Prof Lui Tai-lok, JP as well as Prof Liz Jackson. It will also be valuable for your portfolio if your paper is selected for the conference! Do reach out to the Academic Advisors for academic support.
Authors of the selected abstracts will present their findings on the conference day, 20 March 2021, for approximately 20-30 minutes (exact duration yet to be confirmed). No academic paper is required prior to the conference.
(1) Children's Rights

Submission Guidelines
- Each abstract should be supplemented with a photograph
- Captioned with maximum 20 words
- Can be taken by abstract author or others
- With photo credit
- Language requirement: English
- Word limit: 250-300 words (excluding photo caption, photo credit, references and figures)
- Number of authors: 1-5 students per submission
- Number of submissions: individuals may submit maximum one abstract for each strand
- Submission method: email to sc2021@eduhk.hk (please use the official template)
Best Abstract Award
Authors of each winning abstract from each strand will be awarded the following:
• Each winning submission will be awarded cash voucher of HK$500
• Each author of each winning submission will be awarded a place in a drama workshop after the Conference

- Everyone has implicit biases that affect how they view the world and interact with others. In the workshop, participants will practise how to unlearn implicit bias through character and scenario development, as well as acting. They will also use the opportunity to self-reflect on their abstract findings in this exercise.
