Recruitment of Student Hall Tutors 2025-26 for Student Halls/Quarters (3rd Round)
The Student Affairs Office (SAO) is seeking passionate students who are genuinely interested in hall life and eager to serve their fellow residents. The appointment period for Student Hall Tutors will normally be from 8 August 2025 (Friday) to 22 May 2026 (Friday). Selection will be based on the capabilities and relevant experience of applicants. For appointments made after the start date, the actual appointment period will be subject to the confirmed date of appointment.
Interested students, please read the recruitment requirements (Attachments) and submit the completion e-certificate of two courses, including 1. Preventing Sexual Harassment on Campus and 2. Inclusive Campus and Special Educational Needs; the required reference letter and supporting documents; and complete the online application form from 12:00nn, 3 December (Wednesday) to 12:00nn, 11 December 2025 (Thursday). Only shortlisted or appointed candidates will be notified.

(Round 3 & Special Round) Non-local Inbound Exchange Students (Sem 2), UGC-funded Full-time RPG, UG, PGDE, HD(ECE), and Self-funded Full-time UG and PG Students (18 November - 24 November 2025)
In light of the significant number of requests we have recently received from students seeking a hall place in Semester 2, 2025/26, we have carefully considered both the needs of the students and the availability of hall places. Consequently, a decision has been made to launch a Special Round iHostel Application in mid-November 2025, in conjunction with Round 3 iHostel Application for inbound exchange students for Semester 2, to accommodate these needs.
The Round 3 and Special Round iHostel Application for 2025/26 for in-bound exchange students for Semester 2, full-time UGC-funded Research Postgraduate (RPg) students, Undergraduate (UG) students, Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) students, High Diploma in Early Childhood Education (HD[ECE]) and Self-financed Undergraduate (UG) students and (PG) students will be open from 00:00, 18 November 2025 (Tuesday) to 23:59, 24 November 2025 (Monday).
Please access to the iHostel System on the Student Portal (Path: Portal > Stu Affairs > iHostel) and complete the online application before the deadline above. Please ensure that all the information submitted is complete, accurate and updated. Late applications and modifications of the submitted information will NOT be considered. For Inbound Exchange Students, please be reminded to apply for early check-in at the student hall when you submit your online application on the iHsostel System for student accommodation if you need to arrive on campus earlier than the mass check-in period, as ad-hoc requests may not be considered.
All information about Round 3 and Special Round iHostel Application for 2025/26 will be available on the website of Hall Management Section of Student Affairs Office before the application period. Please read carefully the Application Guidelines and the iHostel User Guide (PDF and video demonstration) on our website before submitting your application. The application result will be announced via the EdUHK student email on 28 November 2025 (Friday). Please follow the instructions in the email to confirm your acceptance of the hall offer.
To uphold the fairness of the hall application, the University reserves the right to request student-applicants to provide documentary proofs to substantiate the information submitted for hall application at any time. Students who have knowingly made false statements or documents will be liable to the University’s disciplinary actions and criminal prosecution.
