Objective :

The Volleyball Association of Hong Kong, China organizes the Local Level 1 Volleyball Coaching Course. The aim is to cultivate volleyball coaching talents and promote volleyball development in Hong Kong.

Course Content :

This coaching course consists of Parts B and C. Parts B and C: Coaching Theory and Coaching Techniques.

This course does not include Part A (Sports General Theory) and Part D (Teaching Practicum).

Eligibility :

• Applicants must be current students of The Education University of Hong Kong and
• Enrolled in the Bachelor of Education programme or
• Members of the University Volleyball Team (Tertiary Institution Nomination Form) or
• Enrolled in programmes offered by the Department of Health and Physical Education

Application Method :

Please complete the application form and email it to sportsdevelopment@eduhk.hk

on or before 14 May 2026 (Thursday).

Submit two crossed cheques to Room D1-P-03 by 12:30 pm on 15 May 2026 (Friday).

Successful applicants list will be announced on 18 May 2026 (Monday).

Cantonese

Examination :

• Participants must achieve at least 80% attendance (24 hours) to be eligible for the examination. The examination consists of a theory written test and a coaching techniques test.
• Passing requirement: Minimum 60% in both theory and practical components.

Fees :

Skills Test: HK$150 (unlimited quota)

Parts B & C Course: HK$1,800 (payable only upon acceptance)

Cheque :

• Two crossed cheques ($150 and $1,800)
• Payable to “中國香港排球總會有限公司” or “Volleyball Association of Hong Kong, China Limited”
• Please write on the back of the cheque: “Applicant’s Name”, “Contact Number”, “2026 EdUHK Class”
• Both cheques will be collected during the skills test. No cheque = no test. The $1,800 cheque will be returned if the applicant is not accepted.

Remarks :

• All personal data provided will only be used for the purpose of this course registration. For any changes or enquiries regarding personal data, please contact the Association.
• If a Black Rainstorm Warning or Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is issued by the Hong Kong Observatory two hours before class, the class will be cancelled. Rescheduled arrangements will be announced.
• The Association reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions of this prospectus.
