Diversity Festival 2025
Better Than You Think - You CAN When You BELIEVE
The Diversity Festival 2025 at EdUHK, held from 18 February to 7 March, celebrated inclusivity under the theme "Better than You Think — You CAN When You BELIEVE." The festival united over 430 students, staff, and the community through a range of activities aimed at fostering respect, acceptance, and appreciation for students with special educational needs (SEN).
One of the festival’s highlights was Booth Day on 18 February, where students and staff actively participated in various types of SEN game booths. This experience allowed participants to gain firsthand insight into the different challenges faced by individuals with SEN in their everyday lives. The guide dog interaction session was particularly heartwarming, while the hand-drip coffee workshop and silhouette art lamp creation added a creative touch to the event. We were also thrilled to have EdUHK students with SEN serving as part of the team during Booth Day.
The festival also featured Professional Image & Personal Branding Workshops, equipping students with skills to enhance their self-confidence and career readiness through an outside-in journey.
Another key event, "Uni-Minds (Theatre in Education)", included an interactive session during the performance, which sparked thoughtful discussion about understanding and inclusiveness for university students with SEN. The engaging performances and interactive experiences made Diversity Festival 2025 impactful and empowering.
A big THANK YOU to everyone who joined and contributed to making this festival a success! Let’s continue to embrace diversity and create an inclusive campus together! See you next time!
