You are welcome to promote the internship openings of your organisation through our programme, which we will support and facilitate your recruitment. Please see the details about the Career Development Internship Programme (Local) [CDIP(Local)] below:
Objective:
- To support students to gain actual work experiences by connecting local internship opportunities in NGO and commercial fields;
- CDIP(Local) aims to enhance students’ knowledge and generic skills in the workplace and to broaden their exposure to different sectors in the local community.
Benefits for Employer:
- Get access to fresh professional and enthusiastic talents;
- Gain additional support by intern(s) and expand organisation’s workforce;
- Select potential qualified staff in advance;
- Establish organisation goodwill and image by providing students learning opportunities
Internships for the Summer Period:
- We recommend the internship period to be at least 4 consecutive weeks (i.e. at least 160 hours) between June and August. The maximum duration of the internship is limited to 59 calendar days.
- At the time of receiving recruitment requirements, SAO of EdUHK will promote the opportunities to the EdUHK students. The service of collecting applications and making nominations to organisations shall be provided upon request by the employers.
- To make the internship a meaningful learning experience, students will be assessed by their supervisors/employers towards the end of the internship.
- Students with outstanding performance will receive an award after they have successfully completed the internship, with specific eligibility requirements fulfilled.
Our local internship programme acts as the bridge between students and employers. Feedback received from both the organisations and students was very encouraging in the previous years. If you are interested in offering internship opportunities, please let us know your recruitment needs by filling out this Online Intern Request Form.
