Exploring Career Horizons: Career Carnival Connects Students with Industry Professionals
The Career Development Services (CDS) of the Student Affairs Office (SAO) successfully hosted a Career Carnival from 3 to 4 October 2024, with support from the Whole Person Development Fund. This event aimed to expand students' career perspectives and inspire innovative thinking about their professional growth by highlighting various in-demand industries.
During the event, students engaged with organisations across multiple sectors, including arts, media and NGOs positions. This interaction allowed them to gather valuable insights and network with potential employers. The event featured several activities, such as professional portrait sessions, interview makeup workshops and four career sharing sessions, equipping students with essential resources for their career journeys. This year, our alumna elite athlete, Ms. Leung Hoi Wah, shared her inspiring experience as a cyclist and her transition to a sports development executive after retirement. With over 1000 participants, the carnival showcased students' professionalism, who left a lasting impression on employers with their exceptional skills.
The Career Carnival was a tremendous success, motivating students to explore diverse career paths. The event fostered connections between students and professionals, enabling them to develop the skills necessary for their future careers.
