On March 8, 2025, The Education University of Hong Kong hosted the fourth Teacher Professional Development (TPD) workshop for "The Hong Kong Jockey Club Financial Education Programme", attended by 55 teachers from 19 primary schools.
The workshop demonstrated Lessons 8–10, focusing on Income, Protection and Risk, and Financial Planning. Teacher advisors led the demonstrations and facilitated collaborative lesson planning. Teachers discussed inquiry-based learning, game-based learning, and shared teaching strategies in professional dialogue to address various challenges that students may encounter.
During the workshop, knowledge of humanities subjects was introduced to enhance students' understanding of key principles and real-life applications of financial knowledge. This focus fostered self-discovery and critical thinking among students, prompting teachers to pay special attention to this aspect, as they recognized its significance in developing their students' skills.
