On February 27, 2025, The Education University of Hong Kong hosted the briefing session for the second cohort of "The Hong Kong Jockey Club Financial Education Programme" at the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC). The event saw strong participation, with a significant number of school teachers participating both online and offline.
Supported by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the first cohort of the programme achieved remarkable results during the 2024/25 academic year. The second cohort, targeting the 2025/26 academic year, is designed to offer systematic and comprehensive financial education courses for students in Primary 4 to Primary 6. The programme also provides 3.5 days of professional training for teachers to enhance their teaching skills, along with various extracurricular activities to promote financial education for parents and children.
During the briefing session, programme partners presented detailed information and facilitated a Q&A session. Participants actively engaged by asking questions about curriculum integration, teacher training, and parental involvement. All inquiries were addressed thoroughly, laying the groundwork for the programme's implementation and aiming to encourage more schools to participate in advancing financial literacy education in Hong Kong's primary schools.
