On February 15, 2025, The Education University of Hong Kong successfully organised the Community of Practice (CoP) Workshop for "The Hong Kong Jockey Club Financial Education Programme." The event welcomed 35 dedicated educators from 17 schools.
The workshop opened with an exploration of the CoP concept, followed by immersive demonstrations of three core lessons: Attitudes, Motivation, and Behavior; Smart Spending; and Payment Methods. Teacher advisors shared practical strategies for engaging students, such as role-playing scenarios, critical thinking exercises, and real-world case studies. Participants were randomly assigned to different groups, where they actively discussed lesson design, shared insights on student outcomes, and addressed challenges encountered in implementing these programs.
This workshop not only facilitated professional exchanges among teachers but also laid a solid foundation for the promotion and development of " The Hong Kong Jockey Club Financial Education Programme ".
