On January 20, 2025, The Hong Kong Jockey Club Financial Education Programme successfully organised the third professional development workshop for teachers, themed "Pedagogical Content Knowledge". The event welcomed 55 dedicated educators from 18 schools.
The workshop focused on teaching demonstrations for lessons four to seven and classroom facilitation techniques. Teachers learned various facilitation skills and interactive strategies through practical examples. Participants were divided into different Community of Practice (CoP) groups, promoting collaboration and exchange among teachers.
The workshop also introduced the use of the Moodle online platform for sharing financial education teaching insights and resources. Teachers were encouraged to actively participate in Moodle forums from January to June to enhance their teaching quality.
This workshop not only enhanced teachers' teaching skills but also provided a platform for mutual learning and professional growth.
