Ox-bridge Students from HKIEd

Last October Yingjun made her application to Oxford University for the Master of Science degree course in anthropology. She was supported by her tutors Dr Stella Kong, Dr Derek Sankey and a mutual friend Mr Christopher Drake. Results of the recruitment were scheduled for release on 17 March 2006.

Yingjun could still remember how nervous she had felt on that anxiously-awaited day. "Although I knew there's a time gap between London and Hong Kong, I was still very worried all day long and couldn't pull myself away from the phone. Finally, I could wait no more and just rang up Oxford direct." Then came the good news from thousands of miles away --- Yingjun you have succeeded in your application.

Yingjun will be leaving for Oxford in late September this year to fulfil her dreams. She has further plans for a PhD after completing the Master's degree. Her ultimate goal is to become an academic, teaching and conducting research in a university

The "Joy of Learning" extends its best wishes to both Ngo-yin and Yingjun in their future studies and careers!
