The Department of International Education in the Faculty of Education and Human Development organised the second study tour to Mongolia from 31 May to 7 June 2024. The theme of the tour this year was "Nomadic Life and Spirit in a Globalised Era" and led by Dr Cheng Tak Lai and Ms Emily Mang. Fifteen undergraduate students joined the tour and had visited Orchlon International School, Shine UE School, Ulaanbaatar City 67th Secondary School & the Education University of Mongolia. The genuine warmth and incredible hospitality of the Mongolian teachers and students made this a truly memorable trip. Another highlight of the tour is travelling to Terelj National Park, nestled in the Mongolian steppe, where towering rock formations and rolling green meadows provide a picturesque backdrop for the students to hike and horse ride. They were also captivated by the country's rich cultural heritage, from the ancient Buddhist monasteries to the National Museum in the city, and such learning experiences has left a lasting impression on all of them and deepened their appreciation for the beauty of Mongolia.
