Performance Indicators
In order to keep track and monitor the progress of internationalisation and other strategic areas
of the University, a set of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) is devised by stakeholders and
endorsed by the Senior Management.
More specifically on internationalisation, the Performance Indicators (PIs) cover the following:
-
Number of partners
-
Number of EdUHK students participating in off-shore learning programmes (student
exchange programmes / short-term programmes / summer programmes/international
summer school/regional summer institute / internships / immersion programmes,
etc.)
-
Number of inbound students taking part in the following programmes held in Hong
Kong (student exchange programmes / short-term programmes / internships /
summer programmes / international summer school etc.)
-
Number of full-time non-local students (Ug / TPg / RPg)
-
Number of participants in international conferences or events organized by the
University
-
Number of research projects with international collaborations
It is also emphasised that the qualitative aspect of internationalisation is equally important. Emphasis would be given to:
-
Deepening of collaboration with strategic partners;
-
Diversity in the form of non-local learning experience so that all undergraduate and
postgraduate students would have the opportunity of broadening their horizon by
exposing themselves to unfamiliar learning environment and acquiring new
knowledge through interacting with a different culture;
-
Internationalising at home through the promotion of cultural interaction among local
and non-local students;
-
Broadening the international profile of staff members.
