Departmental OBL Project http://www.ied.edu.hk/chiobl The Chinese Department conducted an Outcomes-based Learning project from September 2008 to December 2009 with the following aims: 1. To evaluate the learning outcomes of the past modules offered by the Department in addition to the generic outcomes to be defined centrally; 2. To identify learning outcomes of modules offered by the Department in addition to the generic outcomes to be defined centrally; 3. To develop teaching and learning strategies to facilitate OBL; and 4. To review assessment at the discipline level. However, the running of 3 pilot courses in 2009-2010 of the Department has increased the workload of the tutors. This includes evidence-based data collection, video-recording, documentation and experience sharing etc. which needs an all-round support from a research assistant to help the OBL pilot study run smoothly and in a more effective way. Therefore, the Departmental OBL Project (Chinese) has been extended from 1 January 2010 to 31 December 2010. |
