Underexplored Research Directions in Delineating Postcolonial and Post-Oriental Discourses in Asia Via ‘Country as Method Praxis’ at AQIA 2024

2025-01-08

Invited by Asian Qualitative Inquiry Association (AQIA), Dr Percy Kwok chaired and led several pioneer researchers and scholars from China and South Korea in presenting SIG papers on delineating postcolonial and post-Oriental studies in Asia via ‘China/South Korea (country) as method’ praxis at the AQIA Annual Conference 2024 on 18 - 19 October 2024.

By following Chen’s ‘Asia as Method’, Percy suggested further fluidization in his paper using ‘country-language-people as method’ whilst others endeavored to conceptualize the praxis and apply it to some new postcolonial and post-Oriental discourses, facing some international participants from other Asian, European and North American countries. The SIG session papers will be further edited and published in one special issue of one international SSCI-journal paper on the philosophy of education in 2025-26.
