The Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Executive Management (BSc(EM)) students from the Department of Education Policy and Leadership (EPL) at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) participated in a two-day, one-night Greater Bay Area (GBA) trip to Shenzhen. This trip aimed to enable students to gain a deeper understanding of the latest development in GBA and enhance their competitiveness for future development in GBA cities. The trip commenced on the morning of 1st December 2023, when our students visited Longhua Central Primary School.
The students had a chance to visit a teachers’ office. What impressed them was the unique setting, as they discovered that each teacher had a nap bed in the office behind their seats.
In addition, the students were able to interact with the school administration and management team members, allowing them to gain insights into the educational system in Shenzhen.
In the afternoon of 1st December 2023, our students visited another local school, Shenzhen Longhua Foreign Language School.
On 2nd December 2023, the students visited the Greater Bay Area Talent Centre and attended a talk entitled “The Practice and Future of Mediation”, by Ms. Lin Haihong, a lawyer from the International Dispute Resolution Institute. Through this talk, the students learned about the differences in the application of mediation between Mainland China and Hong Kong and recognized its important role in settling disputes.
