EdUHK Welcomes Central China Normal University: Promoting the Global Alliance of Educational Leaders and Department Heads (GAELDH) and Bilateral Collaboration
The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) hosted Professor Peng Shuangjie, President of the Central China Normal University (CCNU), and his delegation today to review the first conference of GAELDH, to set preparations into motion for the upcoming conference of GAELDH in Wuhan, and to deepen collaboration between the two universities.
Professor John Lee Chi-Kin, EdUHK President; Professor Philip Li Hui, Chair Professor of Early Childhood Education; and Professor Kenneth Sin Kuen-fung, Executive Co-Director of the Academy for Educational Development and Innovation (AEDI), extended a warm welcome to the delegation.
The CCNU delegation, led by CCNU President Professor Peng Shuangjie, included Mr Hong Feng, Director of the Office of Hong Kong, Macao & Taiwan Affairs, and Ms Ruan Shao, Senior Staff of the Office of Hong Kong, Macao & Taiwan Affairs.
During the meeting, both parties agreed to further strengthen collaboration in teacher education and student exchanges between the two universities; and to hold the upcoming "Global Education Leadership Forum and Global Education Leaders and Department Leadership Alliance" in Wuhan on 30 to 31 October 2025.
Following the meeting, the delegation visited the Institute of Special Needs and Inclusive Education (ISNIE) of AEDI, the University Research Facility of Human Behavioral Neuroscience, the Hong Kong Education Museum, and the EdUHK Library.
