EdUHK Holds One-Day Student Experiential Programme for Elderly

To give elders in Tai Po the opportunity to experience the life of a student and enjoy the university environment, The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) is joining hands with the office of Tai Po District Council Member Mr Armstrong Lee Hon-cheung in a project to hold a One-Day EdUHK Student Experiential Programme on Saturday 29 March. 

 

As part of the 'EdUHK SDG Living Laboratory@Tai-po – Community Well-being’ programme, in addition to an opening ceremony for elders, the event will also include a tour of student dormitories, talks on health, a visit to the Hong Kong Museum of Education, and participation in STEM education and drone teaching activities. At the end of the day, the elders will don university robes and attend a graduation ceremony.

 

Participants will include Under Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Mr Ho Kai-ming, Under Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs, Mr Clarence Leung Wang-ching,  Mr Armstrong Lee, EdUHK President Professor John Lee Chi-Kin, Vice President (Research and Development) Professor Chetwyn Chan Che-hin, Vice President (Administration) Dr Tom Fong Wing-ho.
