EdUHK Signs MOU with Princeton Skylake International School for Hong Kong students (Shenzhen) to Foster Academic Collaboration
The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Princeton Skylake International School for Hong Kong students (Shenzhen) on 18 October 2024. The purpose of the MoU is to promote educational integration and exchange between Hong Kong and Mainland China, and to foster collaboration in various areas such as teacher training and tertiary education for students from Mainland China.
EdUHK was represented by Professor May Cheng May-hung, Vice President (Academic), while Dr Yip Chee Tim, Chief Principal, represented Princeton Skylake International School for Hong Kong students (Shenzhen) in signing the MoU. With this new partnership, both parties will encourage collaboration on multiple initiatives, including the “Mainland School Principal’s Nomination Scheme”, and field experience arrangements for EdUHK students, as well as teacher development activities.
Professor Cheng stated that EdUHK values the partnership with schools in Mainland China. This MoU lays a solid foundation for future collaboration between EdUHK and Princeton Skylake International School for Hong Kong students (Shenzhen). Through various collaborative projects, EdUHK and the schools can leverage their strengths in the exploration of teaching methods and the innovation of curriculum design, thereby creating new opportunities for educational development for all parties.
The signing ceremony was also attended by Dr Kevin Kam Wai-keung, Director of School Partnership and Field Experience Office of EdUHK; Ms Mandy Au Yuen-yee, Associate Director of School Partnership and Field Experience Office of EdUHK; Mr Arthur Lee, Chairman and Board Director of Princeton Skylake International School for Hong Kong students (Shenzhen); Mr Poon Hing Fai Academic Principal of Princeton Skylake International School for Hong Kong students (Shenzhen); Mr Richard Yeung, Executive Director of Princeton Skylake International School for Hong Kong students (Shenzhen); Mr Chopin Wong, Academic Director of Princeton Skylake International School for Hong Kong students (Shenzhen); Ms Elena Xiao, Deputy Director of the Principals’ Office; and other guests.
