EdUHK Martial Arts Team Achieves Success at Hong Kong Open Tai Chi Championships
The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) Martial Arts Team recently won the Men’s Adult and came runners-up in the Women’s Group 24 Forms Tai Chi Chuan categories of the Hong Kong Open Tai Chi Championships 2024.
The event, hosted by the Hong Kong, China Wushu Union and supported by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, was held on 14 and 15 December at the Kowloon Park Sports Centre. The EdUHK Martial Arts Team sent both a men’s and a women’s team to compete. The winner lists were as follows:
Men’s Adult 24 forms Tai Chi Chuan Champion:

The event brought together Tai Chi enthusiasts and practitioners to demonstrate their skills and compete in various categories. After the competition, Hong Kong, China Wushu Union President Mr Fok Chun-wan expressed his warm congratulations to the EdUHK team and took photos with them.
EdUHK President Professor John Lee Chi-Kin was thrilled by their outstanding performance and extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Team. He noted that the efforts and perseverance of all the participants showcased outstanding martial arts skills and embodied teamwork and a passion for traditional culture. He expressed hope that everyone would continue to maintain this level of excellence, bringing honour to the University and contributing to the promotion of Tai Chi culture.
