EdUHK Hosts Wellness Expo Caring for the Wellbeing of the EdUHK Community
The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) held the Wellness Expo at Central Plaza on its Tai Po campus on 13 November. The Expo marked the launch of the “Go Further Go Together Pilot Programme 2024/25”, which is designed to create a healthy working environment for the University’s community. Over 450 faculty and staff members joined the Expo.
Organised by the Human Resources Office of EdUHK, the Expo featured 11 booths and workshops, including an AI corporate gym, traditional Chinese medicine consultation, neck and shoulder massages, a 3D body scanner, handmade herbal sachet bags, and innovative AI health screenings. Through the games and workshops, the Expo helped participants understand and improve their mental and physical well-being, as well as exercise-related issues.
In his opening address, EdUHK Professor John Lee Chi-Kin said that the University was not only committed to the holistic development of students, but also placed great importance on the mental and physical well-being of its staff. He added that the Wellness Expo represented merely the beginning of the Programme. The University will continue to roll out a series of events in the coming months, including the Welcome Tea Gathering for New Joiners, a Christmas marketplace, the Spring Lunch and an e-Sports Day, aiming to foster a caring environment on campus.
EdUHK is piloting the “Go Further Go Together Pilot Programme” in the academic year 2024/25, as it places great importance on staff wellness. The initiative will offer a series of activities, fostering a culture of health, engagement and continuous growth.
