Dr Derwin Chan King-chung, Associate Head and Associate Professor at the Department of Early Childhood Education, The Education University of Hong Kong, has been named Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS) for his significant contribution to the advancement or communication of psychological knowledge or practice. The fellowship is awarded to scholars for their research, teaching, publications or public service, or the efforts in organising and developing the work of others.

As one of the oldest professional bodies for psychology in the world, BPS has promoted the research and practice of psychology for over 120 years, and governs the standards and registrations of psychologists in the UK.
