2025 Spring Lunch cum Long Service Award Presentation Ceremony
The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) held its Spring Lunch cum Long Service Award Presentation Ceremony on 14 February 2025, to honour the invaluable contributions of its staff and welcome in the Year of the Snake.
During this special event, EdUHK recognised the first group of Long Service Awardees, celebrating those who have dedicated 30 years of their careers to advancing education and supporting the University’s mission. Their unwavering commitment has been instrumental in shaping the University’s rich legacy and future direction.
Adding to the festivities, the event included the ‘EdUHK Sing & Shine’ singing contest, which showcased the musical talent of our staff members. Their performances strengthened the sense of community within the EdUHK family.
President Professor John Lee Chi-Kin greeted attendees with warm wishes for the Year of the Snake and shared insightful reflections, “The Year of the Snake symbolises wisdom, flexibility, and resilience in Chinese culture. It also signifies the idea of moving forward while adapting to challenges, reminding us not to fear the twists and turns of life, as sometimes we need to bend in order to reach our goals.”
He also expressed his gratitude to the long-serving staff members, emphasising that their hard work and commitment had played a vital role in the success and growth of the University, and congratulated all the awardees.
Staff members came together to celebrate the achievements of the long service awardees while enjoying a lunch filled with fun, joy and fellowship.
