The Academy for Educational Development and Innovation of The Education University of Hong Kong is delighted to announce an upcoming conference on 8 and 9 April 2025, which is dedicated to exploring how traditional Chinese wisdom informs and enhances contemporary values.

The conference will bring together multifaceted insights from various disciplines, including language, culture and education, to advance a deep appreciation of the enduring legacy of Chinese wisdom. In an innovative approach aimed at fostering ideas that transcend culture and space, the conference dialogues will be structured around the United Nations’ Five Pillars of Sustainable Development: people, prosperity, planet, peace and partnership. This framework will guide our exploration of how traditional Chinese perspectives can be integrated with contemporary values to promote a sustainable future.

This conference is set to be a landmark event, providing a unique platform for participants to be engaged in profound discussions that bridge the past and the present, as well as East and West.
