Dr. Regina Kaplan-Rakowski from the University of North Texas led an inspiring workshop and seminar on VR-assisted language learning on December 9th and 10th, 2024. These engaging events provided participants with the latest research and practical insights into using VR in language education, enhancing our skills and confidence in integrating VR into teaching and research.

Dr. Kaplan-Rakowski's generosity extended further as she donated Oculus Quest 4 headsets to ELE for research and teaching purposes. These devices were supported by her research project funded by Meta, which she utilized for VR-based language learning research in underserved schools.

ELE remains committed to continuously learning about emerging technologies and exploring innovative ways to use them in research and teaching for the benefit of people and communities in Hong Kong and beyond.
