EdUHK Holds Academic Workshops at Umm Al-Qura University to Strengthen Partnership with the Middle East
ELE is committed to expanding its international network, partnering with universities worldwide, and promoting enriching academic, cultural, and research exchanges for a significant global impact. 
On December 23, Dr. Artem Zadorozhnyy (Archie) joined the EdUHK academic delegation, led by the Associate Vice President (Internationalisation), Professor Lo Sing-kai, and the Chair Professor in the Department of Early Childhood Education, Professor Li Hui, to visit Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The visit aimed to strengthen collaborative partnerships in academic cooperation and featured a series of workshops designed to equip UQU faculty members with essential research skills. During his workshop, Dr. Zadorozhnyy discussed leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) in language education, highlighting the challenges non-native speakers face when integrating AI tools effectively, and presented empirical findings from a study on AI literacy among L2 learners in Hong Kong.
