Welcome to the Centre for Religious and Spirituality Education (CRSE) at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK).
In the era of rapid changes, education must transform to build the positive values and core competencies of our next generations that are integral in the 21st Century. Since its establishment in 2006, CRSE is committed to the development of Life and Values Education in Hong Kong and the Greater China region, with the mission of cultivating positive values and facilitating the holistic development of students.
To teach is to inspire. As the growth of students is inseparable from teachers’ nurture, we devote to sharing the vision of Life Education and its integration into frontline practices through professional development and school-based support to pursue progressive reflection and improvement. We also collaborate with the school sector and provide comprehensive school-based support on the implementation of Life Education, through curriculum and instructions, teaching resources, school cultures, etc. The impact of Life Education is reviewed and enhanced based on experiences exchange and empirical evidence in research and publications.
With the cultural and religious diversity in Hong Kong, we aim at uniting the stakeholders, including the government, school sponsoring bodies, parents, non-profit organisations, religious groups, etc., through projects and activities. We believe the concerted effort in promoting Life Education can benefit students and the community as a whole.
Looking ahead, we will continue to pursue excellence and continuous enhancement. Interaction with the community is of utmost importance to CRSE so your views and suggestions are most welcome. If you have any questions or suggestions for how we can get even better, we’d love to hear from you.
