¡@¡@Abstract In the past few years, tremendous effort has been contributed by the Government of the HKSAR for enhancing the competencies of local teachers and students in using Information Technology (IT). However, many teachers only make use of their personal computers for preparing study notes or other materials for use in the classrooms, but seldom search for relevant and suitable teaching information with the help of IT, in order to upgrade the quality of their classrooms, as well as to develop their teaching professionalism. Schools Around the World (SAW) is a multinational project which takes the advantage of the world wide web and other IT components for encouraging professional discussion among teachers around the world. By doing this, it is hoped that local teachers' teaching professionalism can be further developed, and the learning interest of the students can also be enhanced. |
