The University of Languages and International Studies – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (ULIS-VNU) in Vietnam is one of the seven members universities of Vietnam National University (Hanoi) and the top-ranking higher educational institution in Vietnam. As a prestigious research-oriented university in language education, linguistics, international studies and related social sciences and humanities, the ULIS-VNU has been recognized as the national leading centre of foreign language teacher and specialist education. The Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture of ULIS-VNU, an official member of the Association for Chinese Study and Teaching of Asian-Pacific, has been one of the key universities concentrating on the research and training of Chinese teaching professionalism.

The ULIS-SUNWAH Chinese Teaching and Research Centre (ULIS-SUNWAH) of ULIS-VNU was established in 2012, which is affiliated to the Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture. The centre aims to promote Chinese language teaching and research in Vietnam and develop the international cooperation and relations with academia.
