Most of the people we walk with are not prominent people, but those who are not confident or famous. When we walk as companions with others, they become our companions also. Jesus responded to the disciples, only after listening patiently to their feelings and struggles, pointing out the core of the problem - lack of faith. Companionship leads to change and faith brings new understanding. However, companionship can be meaningful only when sufficient space and pace is allowed. Moreover, many life issues do not have standard answers or quick fit solutions.
In the ministry of companionship, we are not the answer providers, but to trigger inspirations. We should not blindly identify each other, but to give gentle guidance according to the perspective of God, let the Words of God touch the soul and bring forth the direction of life. The experience of encountering the Lord is the only core drive for life witness.
