Background and Vision

Background

Christian churches and organizations have laid a very solid foundation in serving the Hong Kong community for over 150 years with a diversity of social services. Through sponsoring schools, they have been playing an important role in the education systems in Hong Kong. In 2014, Mr. Pang Yiu Kai donated to the Education University of Hong Kong to set up the EdUHK Christian Faith and Development Centre. The Centre provides a platform for Hong Kong educators, EdUHK students, EdUHK staff and the community to understand and exchange views on Christian faith and values.

Vision

1.    To engage students and staff of the EdUHK to better understand Christian faith, values and principles, and their relation with education.

2.    To support Christian spiritual nurturing in schools.

3.    To offer Christian perspectives in understanding economic, social, cultural, moral and spiritual issues in the world.
