The Book of Jonah |
Extract: |
The story of Jonah the prophet was recorded in the Book of Jonah: Starting from his escape in Chapter 1, to his starting again in Chapter 3, and his pleading with God to take his life in Chapter 4. Finally, God guided Jonah to think outside his own boundaries (the righteous God should not have mercy on the wicked). The Bible does not tell us how Jonah responded to God. If Jonah stayed under the tree for 150 years, he would witness the fall of the city of Nineveh. It seems that God loves Jonah and all who serve Him. This is precisely the key message of the Book of Jonah.
