Mr. FONG, Wai Lam William
My Ph.D. research areas are graph theory and combinatorial game theory. I am interested in game-coloring, game-perfectness and nim-like games on graphs. Games can be used to model situations where various rational decision makers have conflicting interests. Famous games include chess and go. Graphs, which consist of vertices linked by edges, are mathematical structures which can model many types of relations (edges) between objects (vertices) in the real world such as physical and social systems. Game coloring and graph nim are some popular games on graphs. I enjoy team games such as soccer and basketball in my everyday life.
Research topic: Games on graphs
