A group of 24 students led by Ms. Zerlina Wong went to London from 23 July to 4 August 2016 for a music immersion programme, which aimed to foster music and cultural exchange between EdUHK and different music groups and organizations in UK. They joined the 32nd International Society for Music Education (ISME) World Conference in Glasgow which was the main part of the trip. They also visited the University of York and attended a musical workshop at Trinity College of Music in London. In the ISME conference, the EdUHK students were invited to perform a choral concert led by Dr. Paulina Wong, Dr. Allison So and Dr. Chen Ti Wei from our Department. The performed pieces included our colleagues’ and Hong Kong composers’ original composition. The concert took place at Glasgow Cultural Concert Hall on 26 July 2016. It was regarded as a showcase of Hong Kong composers and EdUHK singers. The immersion group also gave a presentation and performed handchime in the University of York.
