The International Symposium on the Transmission of Cantonese Opera and Traditional Music 2019 is co-hosted by the Xiqu Centre (West Kowloon Cultural District), the Research Centre for Transmission of Cantonese Opera and the Department of Cultural and Creative Arts, EdUHK. The symposium invites established scholars, researchers, ethnomusicologists and practitioners from both local regions and overseas to share and discuss successful practices in the inheritance, education and creative developments of Xiqu arts in a wide range of educational and social contexts.
