The Biochip Laboratory of Department of Biology and Chemistry, CityU(HK) has carried out the DNA chips projects since December 1999. The main research is the application of DNA chips in various areas: clinical diagnosis, drug discovery, environmental monitoring and biochemical research. One of the most outstanding researches is the detection of pathogens or bacteria in the water samples. The features of arrayer are easy to operate, small size, low cost, high speed, easy to upgrade and the array density is 2000 probes/slides. |
