Application of constructivist theory of learning in technological innovation activities in secondary schools

AbstractThis paper applied the Piagetian constructivism on the theory of learning to instruct secondary school students on how to carry out technological innovation activities. This approach provided an open environment to facilitate students' better use of observation and thinking which were integrated with knowledge acquired within and outside school curriculum for identifying problems, suggesting different solutions, conducting hands-on operations, and reflecting on the completion of the invented technological product.
