目標

將生物科技教育推廣至中學老師和同學的目標是︰

1. 追上世界性將生物科技教育由大專課程延伸至中學課程的趨勢;

2. 提高中學課程 - 農業､環境保護､燃料和化學品､飲食､基因複製和醫藥 - 教與學的質素;

3. 推廣上述課程的生物科技知識;

4. 透過討論生物倫理的問題，培育學生對生命應有的正確道德倫理態度;

5. 透過研習生物科技對社會的影響，提升老師和學生對環境保護､身體健康和社會調和的關注。

Objectives

To promote biotechnology education to secondary teachers and students so as to:

1. Catch up time lag in worldwide trend to extend Biotechnology education from college to secondary schools;

2. Enhance the quality of teaching and learning related to the following curricula in secondary schools: agriculture, environmental protection, fuels and chemicals, food and drink, gene cloning, and medicine;

3. Promote their biotechnology knowledge in the above areas;

4. Foster a positive moral and ethical attitude towards life through discussing bioethical issues; and

5. Elevate their respect to environmental protection, physical health, and social harmony through studying the impact of biotechnology to society.
