Description

The purpose of this study is to describe and understand the academic identity of higher education (HE) researchers in East Asia. Using the approach of narrative research, it will examine the way in which academic identity affects East Asian HE researchers in their response to the impact of COVID-19, and how the global pandemic affects the reworking of academic identity. Empirical analysis of this research will contribute to a better understanding of the role of academic identity in enhancing educational and research productivity at universities, including the field of higher education studies.
