Hong Kong Studies is an interdisciplinary field of area studies that takes “Hong Kong” as a central subject of analysis. The Academy of Hong Kong Studies (AHKS), established in July 2015, is the first, and so far only, academy dedicated to fostering Hong Kong Studies within local tertiary institutions.
