The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) received its university status in 2016, aiming to be a leading university in the Asia Pacific region and nurture educators of all perspectives. As part of the University’s translational research strategy, the Knowledge Transfer Sub-office (KT Sub-office) is established to foster connections and collaborations between the educational sector and industries. The mission of the KT Sub-office is to capture and put into practice EdUHK's solid research achievements and knowledge, thus creating tangible impacts that benefit the broader community.

The KT Sub-office provides holistic support to EdUHK academics and research units on their downstream translation research. It also supports them in developing research and intellectual property (IP) with social and commercial values. Additionally, the KT Sub office reinforces the linkage with industries to establish collaboration on high-end consultancy, contract research and IP licensing to advance technology development and adoption. To evolve the youths’ blueprint into reality and provide new blood to the community, the KT Sub-office offers a comprehensive spectrum of entrepreneurial activities and incubation schemes for start-up leaders.

The ongoing progress of society relies on creativities and indefatigable exploration. Through exhibiting EdUHK scholars’ achievements on international platforms, the KT Sub-office apprises to transfer knowledge, contribute to social improvement with worldwide talents, and seek new ideas for future research development.
