About Us Our research group (Language and Literacy Development) was established in PS Department with an overarching theme to promote the research on language and literacy development. The main objectives of our research group are: (1) to conduct cutting-edge research on language related topics that will contribute to the scientific understanding of language and learning; (2) to conduct applied research for both typical and atypical developing population and benefit people in Hong Kong and beyond; and (3) to impact the community on language and literacy related areas with evidence-based learning practices. To achieve these objectives, we brought together the different expertise from both our PS colleagues and colleagues from other departments (e.g., ECE and SEC) who share the same research focus within EdUHK. Internationally, we collaborated extensively with colleagues from Nanjing Normal University and University College London on different research endeavors. Our ultimately goal is to deliver outstanding research to inform the field locally and internationally.
