Welcome to the Department of Psychology!
Our Department of Psychological Studies was established in January 2010 and was renamed to the Department of Psychology in November 2016. Despite our short history, the Department is recognised as one of the most progressive and vibrant academic departments in Hong Kong.
As one of the largest Psychology Departments in Hong Kong, we currently have 34 full-time academic and teaching staff. Our faculty members are research-active with recognised expertise in a wide spectrum of subject areas, such as clinical and health psychology, cognition and neuroscience, psychometrics and assessment, developmental and educational psychology, and social and cultural psychology. In order to support interdisciplinary and theme-based research, we have established two strategic research groups to conduct collaborative studies on mental health and psychosocial well-being, and on neuropsychology and cognitive science.
We offer high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate psychology programmes which adhere to international standards and develop students’ intellectual capacity and occupational readiness. In addition, we offer a broad range of psychology courses to enrich the curriculum of education and other multidisciplinary programmes within the University.
Please feel free to explore our website to learn more about our Department. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you want to find out more about our programmes, research, or facilities!
