Ecclesiastes 1-3 |
Extract: |
Dr. Kwok illustrated the question of the Preacher in Ecclesiastes Chapter 1 to 3: Everything is vanity under the sun. “Vanity” means a ray of mist, light and temporary. The Preacher found that pleasure brought no satisfaction. How about pursuing wisdom? The wise and the foolish share the same fate – death. Moreover, life is just an endless loop. These messages of Ecclesiastes are very negative. However, if it is experienced by the majority, “vanity” leads us to seek what is above the sun - the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
