Dr Kong Wai Yu Stella

Dr Stella Kong is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of English Language Education. She is also serving as the Associate Director of the School Partnership and Field Experience Office. She has been working as an English language teacher and an ELT teacher educator for more than 30 years.
She specialises in immersion teacher education and content-based language teaching (CBLT) and has substantial experience working with English medium subject teachers in Hong Kong both on in-service courses on campus and within their school contexts. She has also been working with English language teachers in Xi’an on CBLT, and has also offered workshops on immersion education and CBLT to teachers and teacher educators in other places such as the US, Finland, Malaysia, Brazil.
She was awarded the HKIEd Distinguished Teacher Award in 2006.
